All CS2 Dust 2 Map Callouts You Need to Know
Dust 2 is a famous and popular map in Counter-Strike. It came out way back in 2001 with Counter-Strike 1.1 and has been a main map in competitive and casual matches in all versions of the game, like CS:GO and CS2.
It's set in a Middle Eastern town with sand, stone buildings, and Arabic signs. The map is balanced and easy to understand, making it great for learning how to aim, position yourself, work with your team, and talk to each other, which are the basics of Counter-Strike.
Both teams have lots of ways to plan their attacks and defense, so Dust 2 is still a favorite for players of all kinds and a classic part of Counter-Strike.

Spawns & Surroundings
T-side areas
On Dust 2, if you're on the Terrorist side, you've got multiple ways to rush either bomb site. Usually, at the start, everyone leaves from T-Spawn and either goes through Upper Tunnels to B, or Long/Short to A.
Calling out where enemies are early is super important. It lets you plan what to do, grab control of the map early, and stay away from dangerous spots like Suicide, where the Counter-Terrorist snipers like to hang out. Knowing these spots lets the T-side fake out the other team, split up, or rush a site hard.

- T-Spawn – Place where Terrorists spawn.
- Suicide – Narrow path directly in front of T-Spawn. Leads to Mid but is dangerous due to sniper sightlines from Mid Doors.

- T Plat – The open area to the left of T-Spawn from where you can push Tunnels.
- T Ramp – Ramp down from T-Spawn toward Outside Tunnels.
- Outside Tunnel – A big area next to T Plat and T Ramp, which leads to Upper Tunnels.

- Outside Long – Open area on the right side of T-Spawn before entering Long Doors.
- Long Doors – The iconic double doors that Ts must push through to enter A Long.
CT-side areas
If you're on the Counter-Terrorist side (CT) on Dust 2, you must rotate fast, get into position early, and control the critical spots. When you start at CT-Spawn, defenders can either head to A, Long, B, or try to grab control of Mid.
Callouts like CT Mid and Short are essential for monitoring Mid pushes or retaking either site. Mid Doors gives you a great early AWP angle. Moreover, Cross is a key spot that CTs have to defend to stop pushes up A Long; you'll probably need some smoke lineups or other stuff to help you hold it.

- CT-Spawn – Place where Counter-Terrorists spawn.
- Boost – Boxes on the left side of CT-Spawn help CTs reach Short Stairs.
- Cross – Main choke point between CT Spawn and A-Site. Ts must cross this area to reach A Site from Long.

- CT Mid – The area on the right side of CT-Spawn opens a view to Mid.
- Scaffolding – Found outside B-Site, between B Window and CT Mid.
- Mid Doors – A small area directly in front of CT Mid, where CTs often snipe Mid Terrorists from.
A-site
The A Site on Dust 2 is essential for both sides, with many ways to attack and defend. You can rush from Long or sneak in from Short using Short Stairs if you're a T. This makes the CTs spread out to cover all angles.
The site has spots like Goose, Barrels, and Ninja where defenders can hide and slow down the attack or catch enemies off guard. After planting, A Plat is a great spot to watch over things, while growing at A Default is usually the safest bet.

- A Ramp – The slope leading up from Long to A-site.
- A Default – The bomb site itself.
- Barrels – Barrels are located on the right side of Goose.
- Goose – The corner on A-site near A Default, where CTs often hide.
- A Plat – Flat area on top of the ramp, part of A-Site.
- Ninja – A corner in A Plat where Terrorists often hide, waiting for CTs to defuse.

- Short Stairs – Stairs that lead to Mid/A-Site.
Long
Long is one of the most contested and hard-fought areas on Dust 2. It runs straight from Long Doors on the T-side to A Ramp, giving Ts a quick but dangerous way to A-Site.
You'll usually see fights break out early at Long Corner, where CTs try to stop pushes with grenades and smokes. Terrorists will use spots like Blue, Pit, and Pit Plat to get ready for flashbangs or shooting matches. Once they get past that tight spot, Side Pit and A Car become necessary for holding or taking back A.

- A Car – Vehicle on the right side of A Ramp, just before A-Site. CTs often hide here during defending or after falling back from Long Corner.
- Long – General term used for the entire Long pathway from Doors to A Site.
- Long Corner – Sharp 90-degree corner that CTs often hold with rifles or AWPs. Crucial control point — if CTs win this early, they can shut down Long pushes.
- Side Pit – The side wall along Long, between Pit and the ramp. Offers partial cover while pushing up Long.
- Pit – The low area outside Long Doors, suitable for holding A pushes.
- Pit Plat – The flat upper ledge above Pit. Ts use it to hold angles toward Long Corner and A-Site.
- Blue – The blue shipping container outside Long Doors on the T side. Used by Ts to crouch peek, line up smokes, or take cover. CTs can also boost on top of unexpected peeks.
Mid
Mid is a crucial spot on Dust 2. It's like the central hub, linking the bomb sites. It's risky, but it gives quick ways to move around, split up your attacks, and catch enemies off guard. You'll have a big leg up on tactics if you control Mid as a T or CT.
Ts usually come at Mid from Top Mid. They can peek through Mid Doors, jump onto Catwalk (Short) by using Xbox as a boost, or head through Lower Tunnels toward B. CTs usually keep an eye on Mid from CT Mid or Scaffolding so that they can stop pushes toward B or fight back against pushes on Short.

- Top Mid – T-Side of Mid, near Suicide and Long Doors.
- Green/Right Side Mid – A crouch-hold angle on the Mid, often used by Ts for Mid pushes.
- Palm – A location beside Catwalk/Mid, named after a former palm tree that used to stand there.
- CAT/Short – The elevated path that leads from Xbox to A-Site. Allows Ts to execute A pushes through Short.

- Xbox – The box near Mid Doors used by Ts to jump up to Catwalk (Short A).
- Lower Mid – Between Xbox and CT-Spawn.
- Lower Tunnels – Path that connects B Tunnels with Mid. Ts often rotate through here to do Mid to B splits or creep between sites.
B-site
B-Site on Dust 2 is small, crazy, and challenging to take back. Because of this, both teams need to rotate early and use their utilities wisely. Ts usually come in through Upper Tunnels and deal with tight spots like Dog/Close and Fence, where CTs might hide.
Once they're in, spots like B Car, Closet, Double Stack, and Big Boxes are great for the defenders to hide behind. The usual place to plant the bomb is at B Default, which is usually watched over from B Plat, Back Plat, or Window. Window and B Doors are the main ways CTs try to retake the site.

- Upper Tunnels – Leads from T-side into B-site.
- Dog/Close – The tight corner immediately when exiting Upper Tunnels into B. A common angle Ts must check.

- Fence — A hiding spot along a fenced wall at B-site.
- B Car – A corner in B-Site where players often hide.
- Closet – A corner behind B Car, between Tunnel Exit and B Doors.
- B Doors – Double doors that are often pushed by CTs from CT Mid.
- B Default Plant — The standard bomb plant location: near the wall under B Window.
- Big Boxes – A large box (similar to Xbox mid) between B Plat and the bombsite; offers solid cover.
- Double Stack — Two stacked boxes near the center of B-site; common for cover or plant-angle spots.
- B Plat – Raised area next to the Default planting zone; great vantage point.
- Back Plat – Back platform inside B-site.
- B Back Site — The backmost region of B-site behind boxes; often a hiding spot during plants/retakes.
- Window – Hole in the wall from CT Mid side into B.
