Fever Case | Is Fever Case Worth Opening?

Since the release of "The Arms Deal" update in 2013, opening cases has become an important part of Counter-Strike culture. People started chasing coveted skins, and streamers did huge case openings, which grew CS2's market economy to be worth billions of dollars.

Fast forward to these days, the last case that was released was the Fever Case, which was a part of the "Spring Forward" update on the 31st of March, 2025. At the moment, it's only available through the CS2 Armory and has long been speculated to be replaced soon. And that's what made the community wonder: Is Fever Case worth opening? Or is Fever Case worth investing in? Let's go through everything step-by-step.

Is Fever Case Worth Opening?

The star skin of the show is the AWP | Printstream, the long-awaited continuation of the extremely popular Printstream series, now on the AWP.

Given the popularity of the Printstream series, which was first released as part of the Desert Eagle back in 2020, obtaining the Printstream AWP became the new goal for the community, which skyrocketed the popularity of the Fever Case.

Apart from that, the CS2 Fever Case contains 4 Exceedingly Rare items with different finishes for each one: Skeleton Knife, Nomad Knife, Survival Knife, and the Paracord Knife. The combination of these two additions makes the Fever Case one of the most opened cases in recent months.

And alongside those two big draws, the case is rounded out with several other profitable, standout skins, which are more than enough to fit your taste.

So, to answer the question: in short – YES, it's worth opening the Fever Case, especially compared to other cases.

Is Fever Case Worth Investing In?

It has long been speculated by the community that Fever Case could soon be removed from the Armory. The reason for that speculation is Valve's gradual switch from Cases towards Terminals.

Furthermore, the Fever Case has been in the Armory for a relatively long time, which is why many players expect it to be removed with every next armory rotation.

So when is the Fever Case getting removed? No one knows for sure yet. The latest Armory rotation happened on July 9, and no new case was introduced. So, unless Valve makes a new announcement about it, we can only guess what will happen.

Which Items Should You Chase In The Fever Case?

The Fever Case holds 17 weapon skins and 4 knives across various finishes. But which ones are actually worth chasing?

Here's the simple math: if your desired skin's market value is lower than what it costs to unbox, you're better off buying it on your own. Opening a Fever Case costs about $3 total ($2.49 for the key, $0.52 for the case itself). To be profitable, you need to pull at least a Classified-rarity skin. Anything below that results in a loss (Not considering StatTrak variants).

And here's the catch: your odds of landing a Classified or better sit below 5%. In other words, roughly 95% of openings end in a loss.

That said, if you're dedicated to opening cases anyway, for the thrill, the collection, or just because you want to, here's what you should actually be hoping to pull:

Exceedingly Rare Items

As mentioned, the Fever Case includes a couple of finishes for the Paracord Knife, Survival Knife, Nomad Knife, and Skeleton Knife.

The Skeleton Knife is particularly notable due to its relative newness in the game at the time and popularity in the community. The Doppler and Marble Fade versions of the Skeleton Knife are among the most expensive unboxings in the Fever Case. If you pull one, consider yourself extremely lucky.

The worst knife that can be dropped is the Paracord Knife | Rust Coat in Battle-Scarred condition, which is worth around $39. However, considering that the chance of pulling a knife is only 0.26%, the odds are very low that you'll get one on your first try.

Covert Skins

While hitting the gold is the max win, some other items can be pretty solid options, and sometimes even better than some knives. Moreover, they can be used for trading up to a gold.

AWP | Printstream

Price: $40 - $180

If there's one skin driving people to crack open Fever Cases, it's the AWP | Printstream. It brings the Printstream line, which was already a fan favorite on the Desert Eagle, USP-S, and M4A1-S, to the AWP for the first time, and that alone makes it the case's biggest draw.

The clean white base, sharp black geometric linework, and subtle pearlescent sheen give it a polished, high-end look without feeling cluttered.

FAMAS | Bad Trip

Price: $40 - $73

The next skin that will give you great profit is FAMAS | Bad Trip, which is a vivid, psychedelic skin with a layered illustration style and an intense color palette.

It's one of the more chaotic and eye-catching designs in the case, leaning fully into surreal, trippy artwork.

Classified

Classified items are the middle ground, which usually profit you, but don't give too much. In Fever Case, we have only three Classified items, which both look bold and have a nice value.

AK-47 | Searing Rage

Price: $3.9 - $22

AK-47 | Searing Rage is a fire-driven skin with a charred wooden base and scorched details that reveal the face of a fiery creature. The worn marks and scratches give it a harsh, aggressive identity that stands out in the lineup.

Glock-18 | Shinobu

Glock-18 | Shinobu is a sleek, Japanese-style or anime-inspired design with clean linework and a cool, composed visual style. It's considered one of the more elegant Glock skins that's been released in recent years.

UMP-45 | K.O. Factory

Price: $3.85 - $15

UMP-45 | K.O. Factory stands out as a bold, industrial-themed skin with a boxing/fighting aesthetic. It brings a punchy, high-energy look to a weapon that doesn't always get much attention.

Final Verdict

At the end of the day, Fever Case has everything that any good case should have: A genuine chase item, A.K.A, AWP | Printstream, a knife pool featuring high-value items such as Doppler and Marble Fade, and several Classified and Covert skins of good quality that can help make up for the loss of previous openings.

However, the calculations still remain the same. With over 95% of cases being opened below the break-even point, it is highly unlikely that the investment will bring a profit. But if you have been after the Printstream, looking forward to winning the jackpot with your Skeleton Knife or enjoying a nice game of luck, the Fever Case remains one of the most attractive cases at the moment.
