Who is m0NESY?

m0NESY, whose real name is Ilya Osipov, is a 20-year-old professional Counter-Strike 2 player from Russia and one of the most exciting young talents in the competitive scene.

Known for his exceptional AWP skills, lightning-fast reflexes, and aggressive playstyle, m0NESY quickly rose after making a name for himself on NAVI Junior.

In 2022, he joined G2 Esports, where he became a core part of the team's success during G2's peak as one of the world's best teams. In 2025, m0NESY moved to Team Falcons, the same team as the famous NiKo.

Many consider him one of the best players in the current CS2 era, with some believing he'll eventually become a legendary figure like s1mple, whom he's often compared to.

Crosshair

Using a simple crosshair allows m0NESY to better his aim. It's fixed and a bright color (cyan), so he can see it no matter what. He doesn't use outlines or center dots because they're distracting.

ViewModel

ViewModel settings control how your weapon appears on screen. While it doesn't affect performance, the right ViewModel improves focus by not blocking your view or distracting from your crosshair.

This is true for m0NESY as well:

FOV: 68 - Gives a broader field of view without making the weapon too intrusive.
Offset X: 2.5 – Moves the gun right for better visibility in the center.
Offset Y: 0 – Keeps the weapon at a balanced front-back position.
Offset Z: -1.5 – Lowers the gun to reduce screen clutter.
Presetpos: 3 – Uses the classic weapon position preferred by many pros.

Video Settings

m0NESY’s video settings are optimized for clarity and performance, using a resolution of 1280x960 with a 4:3 stretched aspect ratio to make player models easier to spot.

He sets the brightness at 93% for better visibility and plays in full-screen mode to minimize distractions and maximize focus during gameplay.
