Kyousuke - The New Rising Star
After the end of the 2025 BLAST.tv Austin Major, Team Falcons continued the line of changes to their roster. Emil "Magisk" Reif was replaced with a 17-year-old kid that continually gains popularity as one of the best young players. His name is Maxim "kyousuke" Lukin.
But would you believe me if I said that the Falcons found their gold? Despite his short presence in CS2's professional field, he is already called the next donk or m0NESY. And many people believe that he's going to be even better.
If you still don't know who we're talking about, here's a brief overview of his career.
Who Is kyousuke?
Maxim Lukin is a Russian CS2 player, born on June 17, 2008. His journey in CS began in 2019, when his brother introduced him to the game, and success was visible even during his first steps.
With the nickname "CEMEN_BAKIN", inspired by a character from the Russian TV series "Molodezhka", he began crushing everyone in Faceit. With a win rate of 57.0%, kyousuke has played 6835 matches in Faceit - far more than many pro players have played.
- Firepower - 100/100
- Entrying - 76/100
- Trading - 78/100
- Opening - 92/100
The more he played, the better he got. And to fully focus on his career and skills, he changed to online schooling after the 8th class and moved out of his parents' home. Finally, people began noticing him climbing the leaderboards and wondered who that was.
The first one to notice the exceptional talent was Alexei "Overdrive" Biryukov, who in May 2024 invited the young Maxim to a test at Spirit Academy, later signing him to the main roster. That gave a start to his professional career. In the Tier-2 scene he proved his worthiness and thirst for more.
Although fans were awaiting his debut in the roster of Team Spirit, in June 2025, he signed a contract with Team Falcons as a rifler, introducing him to the Tier-1 scene.
In his debut match against GamerLegion in the 2025 IEM Cologne, he showed a fantastic performance with a rating of 1.28, creating highlights that sparked the admiration of fans and critics. Despite the team's losses to The MongolZ and FURIA in their further matches, kyousuke's individual performance was outstanding, as he was on top of the leaderboard.
At the moment, his HLTV rating is 1.38, but as time goes by, this number will surely increase.
What's Next For Him?
As was recently announced, the Falcons are skipping the 2025 BLAST Bounty Season 2 to have more time to prepare for the Esports World Cup 2025, which will begin on August 20.
Based on his career so far, Maxim has tremendous potential to carve his name into the history of Counter-Strike. If he maintains this trajectory, the Esports World Cup 2025 might not just be his first major stage — it could be the moment the world truly recognizes a new legend in the making.
